Rohini Devasher received her MA in printmaking from the Winchester School of Art in the UK and her BFA in Painting from the College of Art in New Delhi. Rohini’s artistic practice explores the interface between the underlying laws and processes which govern growth and form in biological and physical systems and their mirroring in the digital domain. Her current work involves research and fieldwork in astronomy. Rohini was most recently an artist in residence at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin in between March and June 2012.

Her first solo show ‘Breed’ was held at Project 88 in Mumbai in 2009 followed by her second solo ‘Permutation’ at Nature Morte, New Delhi in 2011. She has exhibited her works in shows at the South African National Gallery, the Courtauld Institute of Art, KHOJLIVE12, the Zacheta National Gallery of Art, in Warsaw and the Apeejay New Media Gallery New Delhi among others. Rohini is an awardee of the Sarai Associate Fellowship 2010 and INLAKS Fine Art Award 2007 and 2008.
