Kochi Biennale Foundation invites volunteers (based in Alappuzha and nearby districts) in various departments of the Lokame Tharavadu contemporary art exhibition organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation and the Kerala government, curated by Bose Krishnamachari. Volunteers will coordinate with the core team on various aspects of the exhibition. We would like interested candidates to join us with immediate effect.
Venues : Alappuzha and Ernakulam
Dates of exhibition : April second week to 30th June, 2021
We are looking for dynamic candidates who can join our team with immediate effect to work in these departments :
Communications, Media and Social Media
Look for stories and interesting material to go up on our social media handles. Facilitate visitor engagement with the artworks at the exhibition.
Work closely with artists and the production team to produce the exhibition and install artworks.
Assist the team with artist, guest and volunteer relations.
Assist the photo and video team in the documentation of the exhibition. Candidates must bring their own gear (please specify particulars of your equipment in your application).
A general interest in art.
Knowledge of spoken and/or written communication in Malayalam and/or English language, a flair for social media. (Communications)
Good administration and programming skills. (Hospitality)
Coordination and site supervision. (Production)
We are particularly looking for applicants based in and around Alappuzha, since we will be unable to provide boarding or per diems. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Applicants having a personal vehicle will be given preference for Hospitality and Production. Applicants for Documentation must own their own gear and must apply with a portfolio.
